Excuse me, can anyone tell me if they can read this? A quick note will be fine. There's no reason something I write down in my journal with normal ink and paper should show up in someone else's. I'm pretty sure it's scientifically impossible.

But I'm also sure that human beings don't normally hatch from giant cocoons, and if they did, they would hatch as babies. Except I did, and my brother River did, and Cara said everyone here does, so maybe 'impossible' is just something we haven't figured out the reason for yet.

So please let me know if you can read this! I don't think she was lying to me, but she might be misinformed, and anyway it's not good to just take someone's word for it when I can test the hypothesis myself.

There are ways of getting things back, around here. ...like memory crystals, for example- they show you a memory in certain senses, like sight and smell.

I know about rock crystals, but not memory crystals. They must be another unique thing here, like the people-cocoons. How do you get them? Is there a store?
