These sheep are do not make scientific sense at all.

...would someone mind capturing one for me and bringing it back to Wellspring? We could sedate it if we need to so it won't break anything, right, Dr. Simon?

I could pay one of the Adventurers, maybe? Please! I promise I won't hurt it, I just want to run some experiments on its wool!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm okay—it was a little scary there for a while, but Mr. Grift helped me out. Does anyone know when this might end? It will, right?

[Crossed out but still very readable] I was wondering...I suppose it's not possible now that Miss Bastet says that more of those things are showing up that are fast, but I don't suppose we still capture one of the slow ones for study? They're really very interesting when you're not running away from them.

No, no, that's a bad idea. Stay safe, everyone.

Lea, Kagerou...I think we should go get dinner from the bazaar tonight instead of cooking for ourselves.

Does anyone know how to get chemical stains off the ceiling?

I'm going to be a scientific investigator for the Watch! Temporary, at least—I'll still work at the Paper Factory making journals., but if anything happens, I have to help bust the case open!

Thank you, Mr. Stoneface. I promise I'll live up to your expectations.

Since it isn't possible to come to any definite conclusions without a testing process, I sampled the pancakes offered by the...dancing banana thing...and I can assure everyone that they are very real and not some kind of trick or illusion. Given the current circumstances, a song and dance is really a small price to pay. It's like dinner with a show! And you can keep eating pancakes if you keep watching him. They're actually very good.

Though, um. Try not to have too much. I think I might barf now.

Excuse me, can anyone tell me if they can read this? A quick note will be fine. There's no reason something I write down in my journal with normal ink and paper should show up in someone else's. I'm pretty sure it's scientifically impossible.

But I'm also sure that human beings don't normally hatch from giant cocoons, and if they did, they would hatch as babies. Except I did, and my brother River did, and Cara said everyone here does, so maybe 'impossible' is just something we haven't figured out the reason for yet.

So please let me know if you can read this! I don't think she was lying to me, but she might be misinformed, and anyway it's not good to just take someone's word for it when I can test the hypothesis myself.

Oh, my name is Rosalind.
